Test Fixture First Results

What do you do to verify that your theoretical calculations are correct? Test it of course. Here are two images of our flexible canvas material, before and after our first destructive test.

Fortunately, it withstood much more pressure than what we anticipated. However, there is much more testing and research left to be done, before we’ll know why.



This square section represents how the mylar will expand while under the mesh that is holding it in place. A grid of ultra strong rope should allow us to collapse the whole structure into a size that can be easily transported.
